SACHIKA SPRING 2011 COLLECTION UNVEILED DURING NYFW !!

For spring 2011, we got inspired by our own roots. We were born in Paris from Vietnamese parents who's blood is from the royal family. A touch of traditionalism portrayed by lace details mixed with the modern Haute cuts -very "Parisien", our designs for spring 2011 are telling the story of :

"  The Vietnamese Princess in Paris"

With every stride down Paris’ chic boulevards she carries triumph; a poise of elegance underwritten by certainty, confidence and pride, for her roots lay in land of a vivid and resilient culture. Her feet are used to touching a fertile, rejuvenated earth from which spring emerald fields and mountains, dotted with industrious villages. Her hands have stirred cobalt waters that float blooming lavender and ivory flowers. Her eyes, forever skyward, focus on baby blue and – at day’s end –become mesmerized by dancing fire lanterns that grace a black sky with specks of pink, and purple.

At once delicate and daring, she wears contemporary, lace infused, versions of the oriental tunic, set with strong shoulders and sumptuous detailing; a harmony of tradition and European city chic complimenting each other perfectly.

Her memories run deep as she glides down the Champs-Élysées: today is bright, but it feeds tomorrow and always gets better.

- A & C Wills

Our color palette consists of rich and fresh shades such as nudes, ivory, lavender, emerald, cobalt, purple, blue and black.

With the help of 16 celebrities and 12 models, our catwalk was blooming with confidence for a total of 41 looks. The styling was done by image director Ugo Mozie.

Since the start of the year (2010), we've been blessed and we've had the chance to work with many celebrities at different levels (styling, dressing, made-to-measure). We wanted to be different and make a strong impression at our first showing at NYFW. We were firm on illustrating the versatility of our brand SACHIKA by having runway models as well as known public figures with REAL bodies to walk our show. SACHIKA is truly for :

"The Modern Woman. She is fierce, she is independent and she knows what she wants! "
                                                                                                                     - SACHIKA TWINS

If a woman is confident and knows her best assets as well as her body well, she can only radiate with beauty and positivity with the right dress on  (attire).

The show started with a traditional Vietnamese performance with six dancers all dressed in the national Vietnamese dress commonly named Ao Dai. We wanted to show the transition from the cultural, traditional princess into the Modern Woman in Paris. The choreography was directed by Phuong Thu Le and the traditional tunics were original designs of Trung Vu.
