Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress," the palace said in a statement regarding Kate Middleton's wedding dress. "Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing," the palace said in a statement regarding Kate Middleton's wedding dress. Kate Middleton's dress is made from ivory and white satin gazar, and the bodice and skirt feature hand-cut English lace and French Chantilly lace. The train measures almost nine feet long. The bodice of the dress also has lace appliques in a design aesthetic to cinch the body in a flattering way. However, notice the similarities in the use of the lace on the sleeves, the heart shaped bustier, the lace appliques on the bodice, the ivory color of the dress and the lace placement at the bottom of the dress. I love the lace look and I'm so glad that it always finds it's way back into mainstream fashion. Kate Middleton was a beautiful bride and her dress was tasteful and elegant. The wedding dress that you designed is gorgeous as well!
