Couldn’t make it out to Los Angeles for Power 106’s Powerhouse 2014? Featuring performances from Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz, Schoolboy Q, YG and Jennifer Lopez, The Sachika Twins covered this star-studded event for you.
Nicki Minaj reigned supreme as the headliner of this year’s Power 106 LA’s Powerhouse concert. Shutting down the Honda Center with a rap-centered performance, Nicki shared with the crowd her unique way to entertain.
Nicki is gearing up for the release of her next album, The Pink Print, and judging by her more natural looks and accompanying street-centric set list, Ms. Minaj is returning to her hip-hop roots.
“I said what can I do? So I said, ‘Fuck it.’ I’ma go back to my mixtape days and come out with a motherfuckin’ DJ,” she said. “‘Cause there’s one thing they can’t do and that’s be the queen of motherfuckin’hip-hop.”
And clad in a black leather bra, red skirt and Guiseppi boots, Nicki and her beautiful toned-down look did just that. Running through verses on tracks including “Lookin’ Ass Nigga,” “Chi-Raq,” and “Did It On ‘Em’,” the YMCMB first lady stuck to her hip-hop roots before capping off her set with her pop chart-toppers “Starships” and “Super Bass.” Soulja Boy also joined her onstage for "Yasss Bish."
Powerhouse concert, courtesy of LA’s Power 106 FM, went down without a hitch. Of one of the most anticipated musical guests was Jennifer Lopez, who hit the stage to perform her hit “I Luv U Papi” in front of all of her West Coast fans.
Jennifer Lopez displayed her curvaceous derriere in a pair of tiny leather Ashton Micheals Spring 2014 shorts as she performed her hit songs at Power 106's PowerHouse 2014.
