BEST DRESSED AT THE CFDA AWARDS 2014

Yesterday's CFDA awards red carpet and ceremony was nothing short of....AMAZING! Recipient of the Fashion Icon awards, RIHANNA made sure she stole the show. And not because she was a proud recipient of the icon award but because Rihanna knows how to dress accordingly to her body type. And what is her body type? Simply PERFECT!!! (jelly over here..) We hear a lot of women throwing shades at Riri stating she leaves nothing to the imagination; she's selling sex, etc. Well, we think FASHION is Art and if she has the body to wear a gorgeous nude dress, then by all means, she should! After all, we are all made of skin..some better then others....She knows precisely how to make a statement and she did! She took a risk and she looked phenomenal doing so! Furthermore, how many women do you know are brave enough to bare their bodies without bras and body shapers? At least, we know her body is REAL!  Kudos to Riri! :)

So here are our TOP 5 BEST DRESSED at the CFDA awards 2014:

1) RIHANNA in Adam Selman dress

Congrats to Rihanna on receiving the FASHION ICON AWARD!

Anna Wintour, Creative Director of Vogue Magazine, presented her the award.
We wonder if Anna approved of Riri's dress. Rihanna's dress was designed by Adam Selman,
with whom she has been working with for a few years already.

2) CHANEL IMAN

3) JAMIE KING in Calvin Klein Collection

4)  LIYA KEBEDE in Alice Tully Hall

5) JOAN SMALLS in Parbal Guruy

Best Dressed at the Met Ball 2014

The red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala, an annual fund-raiser for the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute, is a crossroads of the arts, fashion and entertainment. Anna Wintour, Vogue editor-in-chief and chair of the event since 1995, oversees both the benefit committee and the star-studded guest list.

The annual fundraiser benefits the Met's Costume Institute and serves as an opening celebration for their annual fashion exhibit — this year featuring designer Charles James in a new show titled "Beyond Fashion."

Charles James, the fabled fashion designer, once declared, “I’m the most copied person in the world.” But that Anglo-American couturier, who died in 1978, could never have imagined why his glamorous 1953 “Clover Leaf” dress was being meticulously recreated and scrutinized now — all 10 pounds of it.

This is no retailer knockoff. Only by analyzing his complex sculptural designs from the inside out could curators from the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute accurately present “Charles James: Beyond Fashion,” the exhibition that will inaugurate its $40 million Anna Wintour Costume Center on May 8. The show gives a glimpse of the past — and the Met’s high-tech future.

The MET BALL 2014 brought out the best in fashion! See the SACHIKA TWINS' Best Dressed picks!
