Lyfe Jennings, born Chester Bamsu Jennings, is a platinum selling R&B singer/songwriter and record producer. The Toledo, Ohio native is known for transforming the hip hop world with his unbelievably honest and raw lyrics about life and all it's catastrophes, hence his name, "Lyfe". He is also known for being an incredible performer. He puts all his emotion into his autobiographical lyrics and switches it up with a bit of comedic commentary here and there. Last night, we had the pleasure of seeing Lyfe Jennings perform at the Canal Room. The Canal Room, located at 285 West Broadway at Canal Street, is a venue which hosts many events from concerts and performances to private parties and corporate events. The ultra modern black, white and red decor, and their in-house sound and lighting make it the ideal hot spot for a live concert like this one. The party was hosted by Warner Bros. to preview Lyfe Jenning's new album I Still Believe, which will be released on August 31st. We got to hear 5 of his amazing new songs. Our favorite song was "Statistics". The lyrics are so meaningful!!! Check it out for yourself!!
