Beyonce will take on the lead role of a fourth adaptation of the 1937 classic, A Star is Born, the story of a love affair between an alcoholic star on the way down and a young female artist on the way up. The re-make will be directed by Oscar winning director, Clint Eastwood. The classic will be re-made as a musical so we can of course expect a dramatic performance from superstar Beyonce.Her stage presence is magical and her voice is captivating. This team should not disappoint! |

Alongside Beyonce and Eastwood, producers will include Jon Peters, who produced the well-known 1976 version of the movie starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. Beyonce has been on board from the beginning, but the contract is not yet finalized and negotiations are being made.
There is no set male lead role for the film at this time, but Deadline hints at Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Jon Hamm as possibilities. We vote Will Smith!
