Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler Make Debut on Idol

Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler

The new season of American Idol debuted last night with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler as the show's newest judges as they hit the first auditions in New Jersey. With Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell both gone, can these two superstars replace the very nice Paula and the infamous witty Britt? It's too early in the season to predict how they will do, but last's night episode gave us a little taste.

Singer, dancer, actress, mother, and not to mention wife of Marc Anthony, the flawless and always fabulous J. Lo tried to be kind and soften the blow when she turned down contestants. However, there were a few questionable contestants that J. Lo gave the "okay" to. We think she was trying to avoid replacing bad cop, Simon Cowell and create a more like-able title for herself.  There were of course some awkward moments where contestants tried to beg and plead and make up foolish excuses, but oh no,  Lopez was not buying it. Achille Lovle sang a rendition of Madonna's "Dress You Up" and failed to impress Lopez. The contestant's excuse, her accent.  Lopez's response: " It's not about the accent, it's more really just about the singing". Diss! Aside from that, we say J. Lo definitely played nice.

Rock star, and lead singer of Aerosmith,  Steven Tyler came dressed in a colorfully clashing variety of patterns and jewelry, like always. Since J. Lo didn't fill the shoes of Cowell, could Tyler do it? Not exactly. Tyler also played nice and didn't deliver dream shattering insults to the contestants. Tyler did bring to the table energy, quirkiness and some flirty language, telling one 16 year-old in a skirt, "just the right amount showing". We're not sure if that's really okay to say to 16 year old, but he did give her the "okay" for the next round. Tyler didn't fail to lash out strange comments, too. Asking a contestant with colorful vocals if they ate " alot of paint chips as a child". Funny, but not mean enough.

Overall the new judges didn't seem to bring any great for t.v drama or insults to the show.  I mean, we all know we watched to see Simon and Paula fight and to see whose dream Cowell would shatter next. We don't expect any of that this season from these two judges, so we are going to leave it to our dogg, Randy Jackson, to hold it down and let us know who really has what it takes to win Idol. Stay tuned for the next episode on Thursday in New Orleans.

What did you all think of J. Lo and Tyler as the new judges?

Celebrity Plastic Surgeries: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Celebrity Plastic Surgeries: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

It's hard to tell who is real in Hollywood these days. From nose jobs, to breast implants and even butt implants, the hottest celebrities have had work done, and yes of course, they deny it.  But they can't fool us; we know who has had some work done! Some look great and some were just very bad mistakes.

Here's a list of some of your favorite celebrities and their plastic surgeries:

 Nose Job:

Megan Fox

Looking at Megan Fox's before and after photo, it's clear to see that she has had a nose job. It's much thinner and pointier than before.

Jennifer Aniston

Rumor has it that Jennifer Aniston has had a nose job. If you glance at the picture very quickly it would be hard to notice. It's so slight and very well done.

Tyra Banks

In the before picture Tyra displays a very ethnic nose. Not so much these days.

Lip Injections:

Nikki Cox

Nikki Cox's lip injections is on our bad list. Her lips looked great and natural before. Now her lips appear swollen and painful.

Nicole Kidman

No question here that Nicole Kidman displays lip enhancements. She barely had any before, we don't blame her for wanting to go bigger.

Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson shows evidence with lip fillers. Her lips are too big, she can't even keep her mouth closed, she's forced to pout!

Breast Implants:
Kelly Rowland

Kelly Rowland got breast implants so that she would be able to fill out dressed and feel like a woman. We love that she only increased to a B cup and didn't go overboard.

  Anna Faris

Anna Faris increases her cup size a few years after her debut in Scary Movie. The job is the perfect size for her and looks great.

Tara Reid

Tara Reid's breast implants are one, too big, and two, done horribly.

 Cheek Implants:

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington's cheek implants takes her look from  cute  to sexy.

Madonna

Madonna's implants almost make her look emaciated.

Jenny McCarthy

Jenny's implants are not only a little lop sided, but she looked better before. They weren't needed.
Butt Implants:
Countess Vaughn

Countess Vaughn denies no rumors about her butt implants, in fact she brags about it!
Nicki Minaj
Everyone is talking about Nicki's booty. Is it real or fake? We don't know!

Can you tell the real from the fake ?

Alexander McQueen, the KING of Fashion commits suicide at age 40.

Alexander Mcqueen

Today is a very sad day in the Fashion World...

Alexander Mcqueen was found dead in his luxury apartment in London today, just weeks after his mother passed away. It is believed he hanged himself...

Recently posted comments on his Twitter page showed signs of anguish over the Feb. 2 death of his mother. He said he wanted his mother to rest in peace and said, "But life must go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Using an obscenity, he added that he had had an "awful week" and said he had to "some how pull myself together and finish." A presentation of McQueen's secondary label, McQ, had been scheduled for today, February 11th, the First day of New York Fashion Week.

Alexander McQueen was noted both for his flamboyance, edgy style and impeccable tailoring. He knew how to incorporate flawlessly technology, performance into his designs. His most recent work has now become an integral part of Pop culture and Pop music.

His tragic death comes just as designers in New York have begun unveiling their fall 2010 collections. McQueen was scheduled to show his line in Paris in March.
McQueen's sudden death robbed the fashion scene of one of its most innovative and successful young designers. He made his name first in London, then wooed audiences in Paris, New York and Milan to take his place in the upper echelons of the designing world.

His clothes were sexy and distinctive, dramatic and different, perfect for red-carpet presentations and late night rock gatherings. He was an innovator.

Acclaim and honors came in waves to the talented, bearded man favored by celebrities like Madonna, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Cameron Diaz, Kate Moss & Naomi Campbell. He was named British Fashion Designer of the Year on four separate occasions.

Despite the accolades, McQueen clung tenaciously to his privacy, turning down most interview requests and shying away from the post-show limelight other designers craved.

Known for his dramatic statement pieces and impeccable tailoring, he helped raise the profile of British fashion and was recognized by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 when she made him a Commander of the British Empire for his fashion leadership.

McQueen's success had inspired the next generation of designers.

"McQueen influenced a whole generation of designers. His brilliant imagination knew no bounds as he conjured up collection after collection of extraordinary designs," said Alexandra Shulman, the editor of British Vogue.

Born in 1969 in Hackney, London, to a taxi driver and Joyce, a social science teacher, McQueen was the youngest of six children. The designer received his early fashion training at the Central St. Martin's College of Art and Design, long recognized for its fashion-forward approach and encouragement of Britain's talented young designers.

He learned the finer points of traditional men's tailoring at two famous, conservative Savile Row houses: Anderson and Sheppard and also Gieves and Hawkes.

His pieces were coveted and treasured by stylish women across the globe.

After his Savile Row stint, McQueen started to develop his trademark, more theatrical designs, working with several other brands before first starting his own label in 1992.

He quickly earned a reputation for innovation that lasted until his death. His last name soon entered the fashion lexicon and become synonymous with new and cutting edge.
The company he founded was purchased by the Gucci Group, and he retained creative control of his own brand.
His runway shows -- more often like performance pieces because they were so dramatic, and sometimes, bizarre -- were always a highlight during the Paris ready-to-wear fashion week.

One of his previous collections included a show built around the concept of recycling, with models donning extravagant headwear made out of trash. His last collection, shown in October in Paris, featured elaborate and highly structured cocktail dresses. Critics raved.

His edgy creations have been seen on numerous red carpets, worn by A-list actresses, including Sandra Bullock and Cameron Diaz.

Mcqueen's infamous Lobster Claw Heels

Lady Gaga recently made waves when she wore McQueen's spring 2010 lobster-claw shoes in her "Bad Romance" music video.

McQueen's death came days before London Fashion Week, an event McQueen had skipped in recent years. Alexander's creative flair, spirit and designs will continue to inspire us forever...

Hollywood's Stylish Women Over 50!

Who said fifty was over-the-hill…our list of fabulous women over fifty have a sense of style that would have us digging through their closets! These women have been around for over a half century long and are still looking fabulous! We hope to age as gracefully as them and after seeing our FABULOUS FIFTY list you probably would too!

MADONNA: The Evolving Icon

Age: 51 yrs old

Birthday: August 16, 1958

Sign: Leo

Hometown: Bay City, Michigan

Her Look:

Madonna has had more looks over the years that it’s even hard for us to keep up! To Material Girl and Marilyn Monroe look alike to that “if you blinked you missed it” Southwestern style, or even that retro womanizing, but somehow feminists pimp get-up, Madonna has always embodied bold fashion. Today the singer has seemed to settle into a mix of sophistication, rock, and haute couture for her personal style. Amazingly with all the black, leather, and youthful pattern trends we see in her wardrobe, Madonna always manages to stay age appropriate and of course amazing!

IMAN: The Everlasting Beauty

Age: 54 yrs old

Birthday: July 15, 1955

Sign: Cancer

Hometown: Mogadishu, Somalia

Her Look:

For any fashion designer, Iman was a model sent from God himself! Her waif, long figure is just absolutely immaculate in any designer gown. From gowns to jeans, Iman always adds a high fashion flair to her wardrobe. Forever chic and never trashy, Iman is fearless when it comes to sparkle, florescent color schemes, and scandalous silhouettes. With her exotic look, we strive to look as good as Iman in her twenties let alone in our fifties!

KIM CATTRALL: Pure “Sex” in NYC

Age: 53

Birthday: August 21, 1956

Sign: Leo

Hometown: Liverpool, England

Her Look:

Kim Cattrell and her character Samantha must be sharing the same closet and we absolutely love it! This “over 50” celeb shows no fear especially when it comes to showing her figure! We love Kim’s style because her wardrobe proves that you can give those twenty something yr olds a run for their money! Our favorite Kim Catt styles are her slinky black minis, old Hollywood gowns, and her bold color choices! This vivacious vixen definitely keeps the sex coming in the city!

OPRAH WINFREY: The Chic CEO

Age: 55

Birthday: January 29, 1954

Sign: Aquarius

Hometown: Koscuisko, Mississippi

Her Look:

Not only is Oprah inspiring, smart, and wealthy. But she has a great sense of fashion! And with her net worth grossing over 2.3 billion (yes billion)..We’re not surprised that her fashion sense is just as charismatic as she is! Never one to shy away from designer labels, Oprah usually goes for the classic designer staples such as Fendi purses, Jill Stuart shades, and Versace suits. For evening looks, Oprah has dazzled in red wrap dresses and yellow corseted gowns. At 55, this daytime diva is the essence of a modern female professional.

SHARON STONE: The Wild Child

Age: 51

Birthday: March 10, 1958

Sign: Pisces

Hometown: Meadville, Pennsylvania

Her Look:

Adventurous and wild! And who cares, the way she looks we’d be dressing the same way! The actress has donned anything from animal prints to plunging necklines to sheer garments in her red carpet looks. Ms. Stone plays with all types of interesting textures and materials as well. We’ve seen her in furs, velvets, and sheer chiffons which all compliment her rock hard body. So at age 51, fashion just seems to be this wild child’s basic instinct.
